Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna listened to  the public grievances at his Residence on Saturday and directed the officers  concerned to redress them. Representatives of various other organizations too  called on Chief Minister and put forth their demands to him. Mr. Bahuguna  assured them to look into their demands and do the needful.
 Delegation  of Federation of Senior Citizens of Uttarakhand demanded 50 per cent rebate for  senior citizens in State Government buses, Tourist Hotels and House Tax. They  also sought Health Insurance Policy and constitution of Senior Citizens'  Council. Chief Minister Bahuguna assured them that he would try to resolve  their problems.
Former MP Paripurnanand Penyuli also called  on the Chief Minister and requested him to spare his time for the program  organized to commemorate birth anniversary of Sri Dev Suman at Tehri. He also  apprised Mr. Bahuguna about various problems of the people displaced due to  Tehri Dam. Mr. Bahuguna wished for the success of the program. He said that  Suman had struggled for the rights of the people for which he was tortured but  he never bowed down.
Representatives of Akhil Bharatiya Garhwal  Sabha requested the Chief Minister for rebate in Stamp Fee of land provided by  the state government to Garhwal Sabha.
 Chief  Minister Bahuguna also planted saplings of Chinar at CM Residence premises. He  said that all should make joint efforts to save environment by planting maximum  trees.
