Steel Minister inaugurates ‘Steel Pavilion’ at IITF-2012


New Delhi:(Page3 News Network)-The Union Minister of Steel, Shri Beni Prasad Verma has inaugurated the Steel Pavilion at India International trade Fare, IITF-2012 here today. The Steel Minister toured the pavilion, keenly observing the exhibits put up by ten Public sector companies under the Ministry of Steel and three private sector companies, in the steel and metals sectors. 
The Minister complimented the exhibitors for the efforts made for popularizing steel and promoting its use in the country. He said, Steel companies should innovate and manufacture steel products that can be used in households. Such items will help fulfill market demand and increase sales. He appreciated the efforts of Steel Authority of India Limited in displaying light weight stainless steel that can be used to manufacture LPG cylinders. 
This year’s theme for the pavilion was ‘Skilling India’ which depicts the impact of steel on the society. The participants showed off their products and services and connect of these products with the populace in general. 
Also present on the occasion was the Secretary, Ministry of Steel Shri D.R.S. Chaudhary and other senior officers from the Ministry of Steel and Chief Executives from various PSUs under the Ministry of Steel.
